„I am” / „Jestem” – author’s book, my diploma work on the Faculty of Graphic Arts on Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw, 30 x 30 cm, 2004.
The work refer to Michel Foucault’s theory of the body. The theory states the human body is immersed directly in the sphere of politics and directly affected by power relations. The human body is being blocked, marked, trained and tortured. The book comprise a series of posters containing the images of my own plaster cast head overlapped by the images of dictators whose power particularly affected the human body and mind.
